I recently recieved my Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington where I specialized in Community Centered Ingregrative Practice. As a graduate student I facilitated cultural competency trainings with various schools and organizations in the Seattle area as well as organized and moblized my community to advocate for immigrant rights. In the summer of 2009, I spent 3 months working in a rural area of India with with women's microfinance self-help groups. Prior to graduate school, I worked as a housing advocate for five years serving primarily immigrant and refugee families in crisis. In 2010 I was fortunate enough to recieve the Bonderman Fellowship through the University of Washington that will allow me to travel the world for one year.
